Mortal Online 2 Opening New PTR Test on Friday for Unreal Engine 5 Upgrade
On Friday, Star Vault is opening up a new PTR for Mortal Online 2’s Unreal Engine 5 upgrade. This round of testing will focus on performance and getting things ready for the release of the brand new upgrade on November 28th.
The team made the announcement today that the PTR will open on November 3rd. Overall, with this PTR they want to focus on testing performance and stability improvements that they've made since the last has closed, as well as fixing login issues that people were having, and improved streaming lines. With just under a month to go before the big update is here, Star Vault is looking to keeptesting the changes they've made in order to fine tune the experience.
For this testing round, they’ll be adding in the Task Expansion for the first time. This new system is designed to make doing a whole bunch of different activities more rewarding, especially with increased rewards for fast completion. You'll earn Renown for completed activities of a particular type, without restrictions on how you want to do this. If you love hunting, the more you do it and the better and faster you get means Renown. Eventually, this will unlock access to more difficult tasks and better rewards. Essentially, you can really become a specialist in something you love and gain some reputation for doing it.
