Invincible's titular hero might not be playable in Mortal Kombat 1, but his dad at least has the option to cosplay as him thanks to an unlockable colour scheme that resembles Mark's iconic first outfit.
Just when it looked like most of the Mortal Kombat community was up and ready to abandon MK1 for its "predatory" Premium Store and range of missing features like crossplay, in came Omni-Man to turn things around in superhero style. Everyone's favourite tyrannical Viltrumite just launched in early access for Mortal Kombat 1 a few days ago, and it seems that players are having a blast with him so far.
Although Omni-Man's debut in Mortal Kombat 1 has mostly been met with a positive response, some players have expressed disappointment in how much unlockable content he's lacking right now.
Beyond just being a fun new character to play that thankfully is nothing like Injustice's portrayal of Superman, one of the best things about Omni-Man is all of the nods and references to Invincible that he brings to the table. Not only do characters like Mark, Debbie, Damien Darkblood, and Immortal all get referenced through pre-match interactions, but Omni-Man can even dress himself up to look like his son. Before he smashed his face in, of course.
This was first discovered by Mortal Kombat 1 insider thethiny, who shared an image of Omni-Man's various colour schemes just as he went live in the game. Players then quickly discovered that the Invincible colour scheme comes right at the end of Omni-Man's mastery, which means you'll need to get to level 20 as Omni-Man if you want him to don his son's look.
