Every seasonal quest tied to the Heavy Bowgun you complete will give you the materials needed to craft the weapon for yourself. The Bone Shooter is your starting Heavy Bowgun, which can be upgraded using Heavy Bowgun Training Tickets you earn. These Tickets are gained from the same limited-time quests you finish, giving you a chance to get an improved weapon relatively fast.
You do not need Heavy Bowgun Training Tickets to upgrade the weapon past Grade 7, but these Tickets do not improve other Heavy Bowguns besides the Bone Shooter you get early.
