Mojang Celebrates Minecraft’s 15th Anniversary With A 72% Discount On Android!
Mojang Studios is throwing a major sale on all Minecraft games to celebrate Minecraft’s 15th anniversary. The celebration (and the sale) has already kicked off on May 15th and runs until May 31st, 2024. The beloved crafting game is getting a huge 72% discount (approximately).
As a part of the big anniversary bash, Minecraft on Android is seeing a big discount, dropping from $6.99 to just $1.99. While there have been some regional discounts before, this marks the first big global discount for the game on the Play Store.
Along with the huge price cut, Minecraft’s 15th Anniversary has some other goodies and events lined up. Spending just 15 minutes watching any Minecraft stream on Twitch during the sale period will get you a Purple Heart cape. If you chip in by donating a sub to any streamer, you’ll also receive a Glitch Mask.
And on May 18th, 2024, Minecraft team will be hitting TikTok. Are you on TikTok? Then you can engage with their account and earn a special TikTok-themed cape for the Bedrock Edition and a custom helmet frame for their TikTok profile picture. Additionally, every day at 10am PST, you can claim a new exclusive Character Creator item for free. The first day’s item is a Cave Game Hoodie, a nod to Minecraft’s early days.
Just like Android, iOS users are also getting the same discount. Apart from mobile, Mojang is letting players snag a 50% discount on all Minecraft games for PC, including Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends.
