Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Gets New Trailer Showcasing its Story, Combat, and More
Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have released a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, this time around offering a look at the upcoming action game’s story, setting, combat, and more. Check out the trailer below.
Among the things shown off in the trailer is the protagonist Titus, who kicks things off dealing with the aftermath of a demotion in his Space Marine chapter. Along the way, Titus will also have to deal with an invasion by Tyranids, with players taking on an active role in the fourth Tyrannic War. Combat will be a mixture of cover-based third-person shooting and brutal melee attacks, as those who’ve played the first game will be familiar with.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will also have quite a bit of emphasis on co-op gameplay, allowing for three players to take on the entire campaign together. The game will also feature a separate co-op mode with its own set of mechanics, including character progression and customisation.
The game is also set to have competitive multiplayer, allowing for two teams of 6 Space Marines to duke it out in different arenas, making use of different weapons and unique abilities.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 9. An overview trailer will be coming later this month, so stay tuned.
