Millie Bobby Brown's salary for Enola Holmes 2 has been revealed. The upcoming film's predecessor, Enola Holmes, welcomed praise from critics, garnering a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes upon its 2020 release on Netflix. The mystery film is based on the first book in the young adult fiction series of the same name by Nancy Springer. It follows Brown's titular character, the teenage sister of Mycroft (Sam Claflin) and Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), as she ventures to London to find her missing mother (Helena Bonham Carter). Enola ends up on more of an adventure than she bargained for, however, linking up with a runaway lord named Tewksbury (Louis Partridge) as the two attempt to solve a mystery.
Upon the film's release, Brown and director Harry Bradbeer both acknowledged their interest in developing a sequel. Less than a year later, it was announced that Enola Holmes 2 was officially on the way, with Bradbeer returning as director, Jack Thorne returning as writer, and Brown and Cavill reprising their roles. Netflix officially revealed the Enola Holmes 2 synopsis in February, sharing that film would chronicle Enola's first official case. In addition to Brown and Cavill's return, Enola Holmes 2 will also feature returns from Partridge, Bonham Carter, Adeel Akhtar, and Susie Wokoma, alongside newcomers Sharon Duncan-Brewster and David Thewlis.
