After a long eight-year hiatus, Konami is bringing back its Metal Gear Solid series in the form of a Master Collection that bundles together the first three mainline instalments along with many bonus features. This is the first time these games will be playable natively on PS5, with past iterations only available via streaming or on retro consoles. Featuring PS1 audio, visuals, and gameplay design, you will experience the story of Shadow Moses as it was originally intended. However, for the first time ever, Metal Gear Solid will have Trophies included.
The Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty included in the PS5 Master Collection is based on the version included in the PS3 HD Collection, which remastered Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. As a result, you will be dealing with PS3-era graphics as both Solid Snake and Raiden star in the follow-up to Metal Gear
