Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now on PC over a year after its acclaimed PS5 version. That’s good. Unfortunately, several Steam users reported issues like crashes, freezes, and whatnot (which is not good). Whether due to the same or the lack of marketing leading up to the launch, the open-world title reached 18,907 concurrent players.
For comparison, that’s higher than the lifetime peak concurrent total of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (13,539) but lower than Days Gone (27,450) on PC. It’s also well behind Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered’s peak (66,436), though the numbers could pick up over the weekend. On the bright side, it’s not a complete disaster like the recent LEGO Horizon Adventures with its 602 peak concurrent players at launch.
Insomniac Games and Nixxes have yet to say anything about the current issues plaguing the PC version, so stay tuned for updates.
