Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Gets New Game Plus, New Suits, and More on March 7
A major title update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming March 7 and will add the long awaited New Game+ mode to the game, new suits, photo mode updates, and more.
New Game+ will allow players to replay the game with all previously unlocked suits and abilities carried over. Insomniac has added more to unlock in New Game+ as well, with new Ultimate Levels, Golden Gadget styles, and more.
New suit styles for Peter’s symbiote story suits have been added, allowing players to customize how they look using NG+’s Ultimate Levels, including the ability to customize the colors of symbiote abilities. Aside from symbiote customization, Insomniac have also introduced Marvel’s Hellfire Gala suits for Peter and Miles.
Rounding out the changes are updates to Photo Mode and Accessibility. Photo Mode now has “action figure mode” and stickers. Players can also change time of day once they’ve finished the story which should allow for setting up some ideal shots. On the accessibility front, Insomniac has added Audio Descriptions and Screen Reader features to the game, as well as Cinematic Captions and High Contrast Outlines.
Insomniac has also partnered with Gameheads to release a new Fly N’ Fresh DLC suit pack. Priced at $4.99, players who purchase the pack will unlock a Fly suit for Peter and Fresh Suit for Miles, 10 photo mode stickers, and 2 photo mode frames. PlayStation will donate 100% of the proceeds (for purchases made through April 5, 2024) to Gameheads, a tech training program with a mission to “empower low-income youth and youth of color to thrive in the video games industry.”
Both the Fly N’ Fresh Pack and the New Game+ update will release on March 7.
