Gameforge has announced update 2.7, “Rise of the Revenant” for Aion Classic Europe. Bringing a new starting region of Telos, and a new class, the Soldier (and the Revenants they become). The packed update adds new systems, new instances, and a series of updates and improvements.
The update is coming soon, and is ready to shake things up. Telos is the newest starting region, and there is much that will unfold here. A region created by Siel’s Relic, Tiamat and Daeva Subject 707’s memories both come together here, making the unification an unstable one.
It is the region for the Daeva Soldier starting class, who can then become a Revenant through special missions. The Daeva Soldier,in those missions, are taken prisoner and experimented on. Tiamat’s Legion is responsible for this torment, but the soldiers do eventually get free and return back to Atreia. Yet, they are changed, full of bitterness, and resentment, which leads them to rebel and a new path, as Revenant.
The Revenant class is exclusiveto Aion Classic, so if you’re intrigued by their background, the globally-accessible nostalgic server is the way to get to experience the special class soon. The power and background of the Revenant is a different path, so they’re also locked out of certain campaigns in Ishalgen, Poeta, Verteron, and Altgard.
The update will also add some new challenges, including the Sunken Telos instance for 2-6 level 51+ players. The Red Throne: Telos, is another 2-6 player instance, this time for 55+. If your faction is not occupying the Divine Fortress, your faction will be able to enter the Abyssal Splinter with this update too.
Two new systems are on the way: the Book of Legends and Moreth, Chronicle of Time for characters 50+. The Book of Legends is a system that rewards each character for collecting certain items on their adventures in Atreia. The Moreth, Chronicle of Time lets you record certain items for a chance at a special scalable PvE skill usable against the Balaur.
