Turn 10 Studios has released Forza Motorsport Update 7, adding Brands Hatch in both its Grand Prix and Indy layouts, as well as the latest batch of Spotlight Cars, Career events, and Multiplayer events.
It’s a beefy update, weighing in at around 15GB, but that’s actually because Turn 10 is making the game smaller. This will shrink the game by 25GB on Xbox Series X|S and 29GB on PC – around 15-20% – with a larger amount of freshly optimised data.
Brands Hatch is an icon of British motorsports. The Kentish race track is best known for its sweeping turn 1, which drops down a steep hill and demands every ounce of grip from your car to avoid the gravel trap, but it leads into deceptively tricky sequence of long straights and fast, tight turns. It’s great to see this in Forza Motorsport.
And would you know it, Turn 10 are featuring classic 60s and 70s prototype and formula racing in the next five weeks. The Lola T163 and Brabham BT24 are highlights from the five car selection, while there’s also the final three cars from the Car Pass.
Finally, there’s the usual pass of bug fixes and tweaks, with Turn 10 coming back tot he Forza Race Regulations model to adjust the weighting of side-swipe collisions so it doesn’t give false positive penalties.
