Cygames has detailed the new content coming in updates 1.2.0 and 1.3.0 of Granblue Fantasy: Relink. In addition to adding two new characters to the robust cast of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the updates bring improvements to existing characters, bug fixes, and new quest additions.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink was Cygames' big RPG foray into consoles and PC. Granblue Fantasy is a highly renowned mobile and web browser RPG in Japan, although playing it in English is possible. While Cygames had previously expanded its IP into fighting games like Granblue Fantasy: Versus, it was with Granblue Fantasy: Relink that the developer showcased the vast and fantastical world it had been nurturing for all these years. Granblue Fantasy: Relink was a success and sold 1 million units 11 days after its release.
Shortly after its release, Cygames unveiled a roadmap for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and the updates are rolling in. In an official post, the developer detailed all the new content in updates 1.2.0 and 1.3.0, which will be released on April 26th and in May, respectively. The highlight of update 1.2.0 is the addition of Seofon and Tweyen, two new playable characters. Players who want both must obtain crewmate cards in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which can be found in the new quests.
Update 1.2.0 will add new sigils to Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the ability to transmute 30 sigils simultaneously, visual improvements for better readability, various bug fixes, and new trophies. Many characters will receive buffs in this update, increasing the Damage Cap of multiple abilities. In total, 15 characters benefited, but Id and his draconic skills received the most attention.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink will launch update 1.3.0 in May, bringing Sandalphon as a playable character. The archangel appeared as an NPC in update 1.1.0, where he helped players face Lucilius.
