New Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut mods that were released in the past few days bring considerable visual improvements.
The first of these mods is the Serene Reshade - Damp RT, a resource-intensive ray-traced global illumination shader that attempts to simulate light propagation using on-screen data. The shader also adds some sharpening that accounts for depth and introduces some minor color adjustments while trying to stay true to the game's original style.
The second Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut mod that brings some welcome visual improvements is a cutscene pack that includes great-looking 4K AI-upscaled prerendered cutscenes. Among the available variants are also ultra-wide 21:9 cutscenes with no black bars.
The third and final Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut mod that improves visuals is similar to one released for Horizon: Forbidden West, which removes the game's green tint for more colorful and cleaner visuals.
Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut PC release has been extremely successful, setting a new concurrent player peak record for Sony's single-player games on Steam, surpassing God of War. A success that is totally deserved, thanks to the game's high quality and excellent PC port. More information on the game can be found in Alessio's review of the original PlayStation 4 release.
