Continuing to ride upon the high that was , developer Larian Studios is expanding as it opens an entirely new studio to assist with the development of its new projects. Following the news that the veteran role-playing game team would not be returning to the Forgotten Realms for, Larian has promised fans that it has no intention to leave the genre behind but is instead focusing on new ideas. Some were disappointed by the announcement but given the developer's track record, a fresh IP will likely be just as enjoyable.
Per Video Game Chronicle, Larian Studios announced that it's opening up a studio in Warsaw, Poland which will help in the production of two as-yet-untitled role-playing games. Describing the city as the "," Larian Studios Warsaw is the seventh studio to sport the name, joining the likes of the company's other branches in Ireland, Spain, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Canada. Given that the studio was just opening, Larian is currently looking to hire interested Poland-based developers eager to design what will likely be a massive role-playing adventure.

After announcing that it would not be adding additional story content to nor working on some kind of expansion or DLC, Larian Studios noted that its decision to step away from was because the crew was itching to create something new. Having been in development for close to a decade, it's understandable that those who helped shape the fantasy RPG were tired of dwelling in the Forgotten Realms. Larian confirmed that the two projects it's currently working on are both original IPs but has yet to provide any information on the games themselves.
