Marvel's Batman Makes Captain America Look Like a Joke

Marvel's version of Batman single-handedly took out an entire group of supervillains that usually give even Captain America a hard time. Nighthawk, a classic member of the Squadron Supreme, was able to neutralize the entire Serpent Society without breaking a sweat.
The latest incarnation of the Squadron Supreme was introduced by Jason Aaron in his current Avengers run, as a group of «heroes» created by Mephisto and Phil Coulson in their attempt to take over Earth during the Heroes Reborn event. After being defeated by the Avengers and learning the shocking truth about their origins, one of the Squadron's members, Nighthawk, has been given a new purpose by Black Panther, who tasked this Marvel version of Batman with taking down Mephisto once and for all. The influence of the demon lord has been spreading more and more, as he has assembled a group of his own dimensional variants, the Council of Reds, and is plotting to take over the Multiverse. Due to Mephisto often taking the shape of a serpent, it was easy for him to sway a group of snake-based supervillains and turn them into murderous satanic worshippers. The Serpent Society is the current iteration of a classic team of Captain America's foes, the Serpent Squad, who battled the Sentinel of Liberty many times. They operate as a business enterprise of criminals and mercenaries who do the dirty work for big companies.
