The Austringer Hand Cannon and the rest of the Opulent Menagerie weapons have returned in Destiny 2 alongside the launch of Season of the Haunted. The Austringer is the first Hand Cannon that players can create via weapon crafting at the Enclave on Mars, which means it has access to all of the enhanced versions of its perks as well. While some slight changes to its perk pool have been made, Austringer returns to the available pool of weapons with many fantastic options for PvE and PvP builds.
Players that are looking to craft this weapon in Season 17 will need to first complete Deepsight Resonance variations to unlock the pattern. Like all of the returning Menagerie weapons in Destiny 2, players will need to complete five Deepsight Resonance variations of the weapon in order to unlock the pattern. Once Austringer has been crafted, leveling up the weapon and unlocking new perks can be done by getting kills with it from any source.

Whether players are looking to get the standard variation or Deepsight Resonance version of Austringer, the sources for both are the same in Destiny 2. Provided players have the correct upgrades, both variations of Austringer can be focused from Umbral Engrams in the H.E.L.M. through the Crow of Sorrow. Focusing Umbral Engrams for the Deepsight Resopnance weapons will require more Crown of Sorrow upgrades than the standard version, however, and can be achieved with Figments of Darkness. Additionally, Opulent Keys in Destiny 2 can open Opulent Chests around the Derelict Leviathan where both variations of the weapon can be found as well.
