Fans of all things spooky will be in for a treat as Marvel’s contains “much horror,” according to series star Sasheer Zamata.
The teaser trailer for the upcoming WandaVision spin-off, released earlier this month, already promises a dark and gothic affair as Kathryn Hahn returns as Agatha Harkness. However, Zamata — who plays sorceress Jennifer Kale — teases that the limited series may be scarier than it seems.

“I, and I think the fans, will be surprised at how much horror is in the show. It really is quite scary and dramatic and violent and all the things. And also funny! But I think the range of what the show is going to do will be a shock for people,” the actress told ComicBook.
Just in time for the approaching Halloween season, Agatha All Along will be gracing Disney+ on September 18 with a two-episode premiere. Joining Hahn and Zamata in the cast are Joe Locke as Billy Kaplan, Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver, Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davis, Patti LuPone as 450-year-old Sicilian witch Lilia Calderu, and Aubrey Plaza as warrior witch Rio Vidal.
Rounding out the cast are Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili. WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer serves as Agatha All Along’s showrunner. Schaeffer also executive produces the series alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and Mary Livanos. The series’ directors include Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg, and Gandja Montiero.
The synopsis for Agatha All Along reads: “The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”
