Marvel Rivals Reveals New Characters Just Before Launch
NetEase Games and Marvel‘s multiplayer hero shooter is just days away from launch. With the game quickly approaching, several new trailers released featuring a handful of new characters that will join the fray.
As seen in the recently released Marvel Rivals launch trailer, a few fan favorite characters will be joining the game’s roster. Wolverine, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, Black Widow, and Cloak and Dagger will be available at launch. This specific trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, but it does highlight some classic team ups. This includes the Hulk and Wolverine performing the iconic fastball special.
The Marvel Rivals launch trailer features the theme song ‘Til the End’ performed by vocalist Chrissy Constanza. They currently front the band Against the Current. She has also been featured in gaming anthems like ‘Phoenix’ and ‘Legends Never Die’. This track will be featured on the Marvel Rivals soundtrack titled Galactic Tunes, which will be on streaming platforms on December 6. A limited vinyl release is now available for preorder.
While the launch trailer only contained cinematics, Squirrel Girl and Iron Fist each got a character reveal trailer showcasing each hero’s move set.
“With her mammalian powers and ability to communicate with squirrels, Doreen Green takes down the toughest opponents as the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl,” reads a description of the newly revealed character. “With her unrivaled agility, lightning fast reflexes, and acorn bombs, she’s ready to help her friends with a bucktooth smile on her face!”
“As Iron Fist embraced his new role as the protector of K’un-Lun, he made it his duty to protect the mystical realms in his Collapsing Timeline,” says a description of the roster addition. “Focusing his Chi, he’s able to amplify his iron fist to reach unimaginable strength, giving him the power to take on anyone who gets in his way.”
