Martha Is Dead is getting the feature film treatment
thesixthaxis.comMartha Is Dead is going to be turned into a feature length movie, LKA has confirmed. In partnership with Wired Productions and Swedish film studio Studios Extraordinaires, the Martha Is Dead movie is already in development. Co-directing the movie are André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson. André Hedetoft has previously directed a film called Origin, and two short films called Logan and Double Trouble. He is also working on a Fort Solis adaptation. Andreas Troedsson has been a cinematographer on The Birdcatcher’s Son, and Tareq Taylor’s Nordic Cookery.
“’Martha Is Dead’ is a narrative masterpiece, expertly weaving a spellbinding murder
mystery from a young woman’s perspective in a way that’s never been done before,” said
André and Andreas at Studios Extraordinaires. “We’re eager to bring this haunting tale to life, offering both fans and newcomers a cinematic tour-de-force, while staying true to the
game’s soul-stirring essence.”

In our Martha is Dead review, Nick wrote, “Martha is Dead wants to send a big important message, but the way it’s delivered is terrifyingly bad, not only in it’s writing but also in the shoddy gameplay.”
A cast has yet to be confirmed for the film, as is a release date.
