After clicking Add to Account, however, will be permanently available in the Steam library of anyone who claims it, so there's no rush to play through it immediately.
Although the titling of the newest entry as officially relegates to spin-off status, it can be seen as the original sequel to the first game in some basic regards. The story picks up after the end of , following the same characters on another island in the same archipelago. It's a smaller-scale venture than either the first game or, but it still features a full-length campaign and the same fun zombie-annihilating gameplay that helped popularize the franchise to begin with.
Co-op is a standard feature for the series, so the free copy of could be a good way to easily assemble some friends for an adventure. It also works perfectly well as a solo campaign, even if letting off steam by tearing zombies to shreds can get a bit more repetitive without companions.
