Despite the lack of cross-platform multiplayer, the 's original announcement and Aspyr's email to ItsMaverick1357 confirmed that cross-generation multiplayer is supported on the PlayStation and Xbox releases of the games. The new bundle is being released on both the current-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles, and the previous PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation, but only PS5 and PS4 players will be able to play together, with Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One also limited to fellow Xbox users.
