Best Buy Has The PlayStation Portal Back In Stock
Despite many questioning whether it even had a place in modern gaming, the PlayStation Portal has been so sought after since launch that it has remained sold out just about everywhere you'd hope to find it in stock. Today may well be your lucky day if you've been trying to find one for the last few months though as Best Buy appears to have the handheld PS5 accessory back in stock.
What's more, this is the first time in a long time that the Portal has remained in stock long enough for me to write about it in an attempt to inform people of its availability. Even if you are seeing this a few hours after it has been published, it's still worth checking the link. Not only might this finally be the time that the Portal's supply has finally caught up with its demand, but it might also be a case of Best Buy adding new stock in batches. The PlayStation Portal is a handheld companion to Sony's PlayStation 5 console. Based around the features of a DualSense controller and Remote Play, it features an eight-inch LCD screen at 1080p resolution capable of 60fps, a headphone jack for wired audio.
PlayStation launched the Portal at the end of 2023 and since it can't stream games, and can only be used when connected to a strong and stable WiFi connection, many found the concept unappealing. A lot more people liked the idea, though, and I'm one of them. The biggest selling point of the Portal is the ability to play your PS5 games using a handheld device.
