The twisted parody of Batman, Nemesis, is returning in a brand new series from co-creator Mark Millar after a decade-long absence for the character. With Batman artist Jorge Jiménez along for Nemesis' grand comeback, the most hyper-prepared supervillain is about to embark on his bloodiest crusade yet.
Originally a four-issue miniseries, Nemesis debuted in 2010 as part of Marvel's creator-owned imprint, Icon Comics. The comic by Millar and artist Steve McNiven told the story of Nemesis, a supervillain who uses his immense wealth and tactical mind to challenge some of the world's most lauded police officers. Nemesis meets his match in an American officer who rises to the evil Batman-like character's challenge and engages in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with the exceptionally meticulous villain. The series was widely criticized for its extreme use of violence and controversial plot points.

Despite the split reception of the original Nemesis, writer Mark Millar teased a sequel for years, promising that Nemesis' story was nowhere near done. And thanks to an exclusive from CBR, it appears that Millar's words are finally coming true. The site revealed a first look at Nemesis Reloaded, a new series from Millarworld set for release in 2023. A teaser image was revealed and fans may note Batman artist Jorge Jiménez is joining Millar to bring the villain back to the comics' realm. Jiménez spoke of his excitement working on the new series saying that Millar is "a writer that I have admired for years" and "one of the titans of the comic book world."
