After spending quite a few years in hibernation, it appears that the Scream franchise is wasting no time at all getting back on the big screen. Less than a year after Scream 5 — officially just called Scream — hit theaters, the production team behind the next installment announced on that filming for Scream 6 has officially wrapped.
The crew for Scream 6 took to their official Instagram account in order to announce that filming was done and to commemorate the event with a giant group photo. The group also thanked producer Ron Lynch for picking Blackmore Productions set as the film's shooting location. It turns out that location is quite the theme when it comes to the next installment in the long-running series.

For now, the next movie is indeed titled Scream 6 and will at least start back out in Woodsboro, where most of the movies have been set. However, in some ways, the next film will be treading new ground, as most of its story will take place outside the sleepy little murder capital of the world. «It's in the box!
