Rocket League is moving forward into Season 8 this month, and players can expect a variety of new content. Developer Psyonix revealed its plans for Rocket League Season 8 including the start date, Rocket Pass information, and returning events.
Rocket League Season 8 begins on September 7 with an all-new Rocket Pass based on the iconic Honda Civic Type R, a high performance hatchback vehicle designed by the racing team at Honda. Players who purchase Rocket Pass Premium for Season 8 immediately obtain the Honda Civic Type R (Octane hitbox). The upgraded Honda Civic Type R-LE is unlocked by progressing further into the new Rocket Pass. Over 70 rewards are available in the Rocket Pass for Season 8 including paint finishes, decals, and antenna.
Rocket League is Bringing Back Voice Chat Feature
The new San Francisco-inspired venue, Sovereign Heights Arena, makes its debut with Rocket League Season 8. Sovereign Heights Arena is located near the city's famous Centered Park in the world of Rocket League according to Psyonix. The turf is fashioned to resemble a soccer field like other arenas found withinRocket League. Psyonix teases a new Hoops Arena to «revitalize the local street ball scene,» so players can expect another venue in Season 8. Sovereign Heights will be home to many competitive matches in Season 8, and players from Rocket League Season 7 may claim their competitive rewards shortly after the new season begins.
Rocket League'sHaunted Hallows event was a popular in-game event in 2021, and Psyonix confirms the return of the Halloween-themed event for Season 8.
