Love & Thunder Director Addresses Jane & Thor Romance Possibility
Director Taika Waititi opens up about the potential romance between Thor and Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reunite in the MCU in the upcoming Marvel Studios film. While both appeared in Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder is the first time that the pair will share the screen, leading some to wonder if this means that they will also revisit their past as lovers.
With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now out in theaters, Marvel Studios shifts its marketing efforts to Thor: Love and Thunder. The project marks Waititi's return to the MCU after the success of Thor: Ragnarok and continues the God of Thunder's arc after the Infinity Saga. In addition to that, it will also see Portman's reprisal of Jane Foster in the franchise, but this time, she will have her own superhero persona as Mighty Thor. With her and Thor's impending reunion, there are questions regarding what this means about their romantic relationship, which was abruptly ended and with no specific reason given yet to the public.

Speaking with Empire magazine, Waititi addressed the possibility of the pair rekindling their romance in Thor: Love and Thunder. The director is understandably coy, but hints that getting back together may not be in the cards — at least in this film. Read his full quote below:
