Love Is Blind Japan: Everything To Know About The Upcoming Series

The Love Is Blind franchise is adding another show to its roster, Love Is Blind Japan. Viewers were introduced to the Netflix franchise in early 2020 when the original series started streaming on the platform. The original Love Is Blind put several singles in the Atlanta, Georgia area in a home and had them speak to the opposite sex through these pods without ever seeing each other. If there was a connection between the couple, they would get engaged and finally meet for the first time. 

While many of the remaining couples on the show Love Is Blind broke up, two couples not only got married but are still together as of February 2022. Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton were the fan-favorite couple of their season and have since gone on to write a book and start a YouTube channel together. Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett are also still together following their TV wedding but have remained more low-key online. Since their season, Love Is Blind was renewed for another two seasons and even filmed a Brazilian spin-off, Love Is Blind: Brazil.

The trailer for Love Is Blind Japan dropped late last month, introducing the singles and a sneak peek into what their journey on the show will look like. The Love Is Blind new series is set to premiere on February 8 on Netflix, less than a week before Valentine's Day. The Japanese version is very similar to the North American one since it is a show about "marriage-minded singles" who are looking to meet new people, date, and hopefully, get engaged by the end (via Meaww).
