Ari has been raising funds to help Ethiopian residents who have suffered from the effects of war in the country. There is also an ongoing drought in Ethiopia that she has been raising funds for as well. The reality TV star recently shared that she has been inspired by her work in Ethiopia to potentially start her own NGO. Ariela also explained she is working on registering her own non-profit in the United States.

Recently, Ari took to her Instagram Story to tell her followers about an "amazing" taxi driver she had who gave her a smartphone to give to one of the people she has been helping. Ariela explained that she was in a taxi and started telling her taxi driver about Filimon, an Ethiopian man who was displaced and unable to go to school, even though he is very intelligent. She told her taxi driver that she's hoping to be able to get Filimon a smartphone so he can start learning about engineering by watching YouTube videos.
The taxi driver surprised her by offering an extra smartphone he had for her to give to the aspiring engineer. Ari explained that it turns out her taxi driver was also an engineer, and his generous offering made her "stunned and happy." She said that the next steps are to get supplies so that Filimon can start building more
