Ahead of Jen Shah's trial for felony fraud charges, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star doesn't want show footage used in court. Jen is gearing up to begin trial next month and is working with her legal team to put the odds in her favor. With Jen pleading not guilty to money laundering and wire fraud charges last April, prosecutors will be looking to use any and all evidence to throw her in jail. But Jen is hoping to prevent any clips from the reality show she stars on from being used against her.
Jen is facing upwards of 20 years in prison if found guilty of being involved in a nationwide telemarketing scam. Jen and her former assistant Stuart Smith were arrested in March 2021. The following month, Jen pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. However, all of the defendants named in the case have pleaded guilty to their respective charges. Jen is the only one claiming she's not guilty and is willing to go to trial to price her innocence.

As Jen prepares to head to trial next month, the Bravo star is making requests about what she wants to be discussed in court. Newly released court documents obtained by Us Weekly show that Jen “opposes the use in evidence of any clips from the RHOSLC” during her trial. “Any use of clips from the RHOSLC at the trial of Ms. Shah, either in the government’s case-in-chief or during cross-examination of the defense’s case, would have to fall under one of the exceptions to the hearsay rule of evidence, as they are, by definition, out-of-court statements.” In the two seasons Jen has appeared on the new Housewives
