A new image from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerprovides a better look at Middle-earth. After the success of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy in the early 2000s, Amazon is set to adapt J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved novels once more with their upcoming series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The new show will take place thousands of years before the events of Tolkien's books, chronicling the rise of evil in Middle-earth in the Second Age.
Created by Patrick McKay and John D. Payne, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power went into production in New Zealand in 2020, with a first trailer released in February of this year finally giving fans a first look at some of what is to come. Images released in the months following the trailer have shown off more aspects of the series, including closer looks at Dwarves and Elves, and a new race of Hobbits not seen on screen before, the Harfoots.
