Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power show reveals new details regarding its Hobbit-like race of characters, the Harfoots. The upcoming series is based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and is set during the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The Rings of Power is developed by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay and will premiere on September 2 on Amazon Prime Video.
Game of Thrones' young Eddard Stark actor Robert Aramayo leads the Rings of Power cast as Elrond, who was played by Hugo Weaving in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, alongside Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, who was previously played by Cate Blanchett. The remainder of the Rings of Power cast consists of relatively unknown actors playing completely new characters, including Elves, Men, and Dwarves.
