A new is out, teasing the frantic and tense moment when Maika Monroe first sees Nicolas Cage in Osgood Perkins‘ upcoming horror movie.
Unlike past trailers, the latest Longlegs video instead focuses on the real scene where Maika Monroe meets Nicolas Cage’s Longlegs character for the very first time. In the video, Monroe’s heart rate is tracked at 76 BPM, and quickly rises to a whopping 170 BPM when she steps into the room and sees Cage for the first time.

Longlegs also stars Maika Monroe, Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt, Michelle Choi-Lee, Dakota Daulby, Kiernan Shipka, and Jason Day. The film is set to release in United States theaters on July 12, 2024, from Neon.
“In pursuit of a serial killer, an FBI agent uncovers a series of occult clues that she must solve to end his terrifying killing spree,” the synopsis reads.
Cage is playing the serial killer who is being hunted by the FBI in Longlegs; however, Cage’s look in the movie won’t be revealed until the film comes out.
Prior to Longlegs, Perkins (who is the son of Anthony Perkins, who played Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho) directed 2015’s The Blackcoat’s Daughter, 2016’s I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and 2020’s Gretel & Hansel. He’s now working on an adaptation of Stephen King’s The Monkey with Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, and Elijah Wood.
