Like A Dragon GOG Release Removes Series Creator From Credits
Like a Dragon's recently-released GOG ports have removed the names of several developers who no longer work on the series from the credits, including series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Daisuke Sato.
Earlier this week, nearly of the games in the Like a Dragon series (or Yakuza, if you're clinging to the past) were ported over to GOG for the first time, which should be great news as it means that PC players can play without DRM. You might think that the only bad part of this collection is that it doesn't include the seventh entry in the series, but you'd sadly be wrong, as fans have noticed something else that's disappointing.

As pointed out by ResetEra user DanarchyReigns, a Redditor called Timo653 shared a thread on the Like a Dragon subreddit revealing that the names of several developers who no longer work on the series have been removed from the game's credit sequences, going as far as removing the team that worked on the PC ports that the GOG releases are clearly based on.
Timo653's thread shows that multiple key developers who previously worked on the series but have since moved on have just been completely erased from the credits. Some of the notable names that have been removed include series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, producer Daisuke Sato, and the entirety of the Lab42 and QLOC teams who worked on porting the series over to PC in the first place.
Those are just some of the names that are pointed out in the thread, but it's clear from the shortened length of the credits that several more developers that seemingly left Sega at some point have also been removed from the credits.
