Like A Dragon: Gaiden is finally in our hands and has given us some key story info to help bridge the gap and explain what Kiryu was up to between the events of Yakuza 6 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon. It also gave us our first proper look at Kiryu's new design for Infinite Wealth, as the Dragon of Dojima appears to have undergone a model change to more accurately reflect his age.
Kiryu's new model is less ripped, as he's losing some of his bulk and width now that he's knocking on a bit. More importantly, this model has also finally given us a look at just how far down his iconic back tattoo goes. Kiryu obviously doesn't see the need to strip down to his birthday suit very regularly in the Like a Dragon series, so this is the first time we've actually seen that Kiryu's cheeks are just as tatted up as his back is.
The full model was shared by Twitter user Kiryussideburns earlier today, and displays Kiryu's full backside in all of its glory. You can see how the tattoo covers the majority of Kiryu's cake in the Twitter post embedded above, which means that tattoo artist Nidaime Utabori has taken a needle to the rump of one of the scariest and most prolific Yakuza members to ever grace Kamurocho.
There's even a small part of the tattoo that goes straight across Kiryu's crack, which just goes to show you his pain tolerance is pretty much sky-high.
Unfortunately, you'll never be able to get Kiryu's buns out in the actual games themselves, though it's difficult to imagine there aren't any mods for that sort of thing. If modders have already managed to get Leon Kennedy and Chun-Li in the buff. Kiryu surely won't be too far behind.
