Lies of P has always looked like an indie developer's take on Bloodborne, and 11 minutes of gameplay captured at GDC pretty much confirms that to be the case. From the look to the gameplay to the UI, everything screams the PS4 title out of FromSoftware. That's no bad thing, though, since copies Bloodborne copies aren't exactly at a premium. The game's due for a PS5 release in August, so whet your appetite in the meantime with the footage above.
A physical version of the game is on the way alongside the digital edition, with a concrete release date likely set to be announced in the coming months. As FromSoftware looks elsewhere — at least temporarily — with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Lies of P may be a Souls-Like highlight for 2023. That's unless Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree hits this year.
