Lies of P developer NEOWIZ has just released a new update for the Soulslike game. The 1.4.0.0 patch adds the following three Winter Festival items, available for free to all players:
Lies of P players will find them in the Equipment/Bag menus. The update also improves the Japanese translation. At the same time, NEOWIZ said it is still working to improve the Mac version of the game, asking Mac gamers for patience and promising to bring some news soon.
The Bloodborne-inspired and Pinocchio-themed game earned the favor of fans and critics alike when it launched in September. Our Francesco De Meo rated it 8/10:
Wearing its influences on its sleeves, Lies of P is a solid imitation of FromSoftware's Bloodborne that manages to stay fun for the entire duration of a single playthrough of around 20 hours despite a marked lack of innovation. While the callbacks and nods to the game that inspired it may be a little too blatant, NEOWIZ has developed a solid game that all soulslike fans can enjoy if they can keep their expectations in check.
The appreciation of gamers was even stronger. Recent Steam reviews are Overwhelmingly Positive (95%), and NEOWIZ proudly revealed it had sold over one million units in less than a month despite being on the Game Pass subscription service. The game also won awards, including Apple's Mac Game of the Year and South Korea's Grand Prize and Popular Game Awards.
As such, it is not at all surprising that the developers of Lies of P are already preparing DLCs as well as a full-fledged sequel.
