Warhorse Studios has revealed its RPG sequel Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will release one week earlier than initially expected, now slated to launch for PS5 on 4th February 2025. The announcement was made in a Twitter post that also brought the news of a story trailer and console spec details arriving on Thursday.
Bringing the release date forward by seven days does make the month of February 2025 somewhat easier to manage, if you're looking to play all the big releases on their launch days. With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now opening the month, Civilization 7 arrives one week later on the 11th, then Assassin's Creed Shadows on the 14th, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on the 21st, and then finally Monster Hunter Wilds on the 28th. That's a lot of heavy hitters in just one month.
Does this RPG coming one week earlier than first thought make you more likely to play it? Let us know in the comments below.
Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
If they can get it out quicker, Great! Get ahead of all the other releases in mid and late Feb and beyond.
Day 1 for me and most hyped non JRPG for 2025
Wonder what its technical state will be like? The first game is really good and its why i'm excited for the sequel but goddamn its rough even to this day, the PS5 helps with performance but its still buggy and the visuals are as i said rough.
This is a very smart move.
@DennisReynolds One week won't solve a lot of problems in a complex project like this one. Would like to think that the state will be good, but if not, we know it will be fixed.
No one is finishing this game in 2 weeks, so Ubisoft are still buggered for AC shadows sales
