Two heroes in the Justice League have major beef with one another, and that spells bad news for the team. An argument between the Flash and Green Arrow highlights a problem with the heroic group's mission of achieving «justice.»
The Justice League came together for a simple reason: to stop threats bigger than any one hero could handle. Whether it's Starro the Conqueror or the New God Darkseid, it's easier to tackle such villains as part of a group rather than individually. United as they are, there's always bound to be some inner turmoil. The Justice League's controversial Identity Crisis storyline saw the team's darkest demons come to light and revealed the team is not above disharmony. While the Justice League has come out of most of their disagreements just fine, it's clear that a strong enough issue could potentially end the group for good.

In fact, two of the team's most notable members may have hinted at an issue brewing under the surface for the team. The 2000 issue Flash & Green Lantern: The Brave and the Bold #4 by Mark Waid, Tom Peyer, and Tom Grindberg shows Oliver Queen and Barry Allen getting into a heated argument. Green Lantern and Green Arrow have to be sprung from jail by the Flash after Oliver is arrested for driving an unregistered car. Queen makes no attempts to hide his thoughts on the heavily militarized police from his allies, particularly Barry who works as a forensic investigator. Their discussion turns into a shouting match, with Barry sympathizing with the officers while Oliver criticizes their equipment as being overkill. Flash thinks the police need the assistance since they don't have powers, but Green Arrow responds
