In The Legend of Zelda series, Link is known to have many love interests and many interactions with characters that are seemingly in love with him. Although Zelda is Link's most prominent love interest in the games, Zora Princesses also seem particularly fond of him. Even Zelda isn't nearly as intimate with Link as these Zora ladies tend to be, with less subtlety to their feelings toward the main protagonist and more direct interactions. These Zora Princesses have deep feelings for Link and have every reason to want to be with the hero.
In the franchise's history, Zoras are initially a forgettable enemy in The Legend of Zelda's debut title, but the Zora eventually become what fans know as the aquatic humanoid fish race introduced in Ocarina of Time. Throughout the many installments of The Legend of Zelda, the enemy version of the Zoras would reappear; some would even be docile toward Link in games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The franchise would eventually establish River Zora as the name of the enemy version of the race and Sea Zora as the friendly version. However, Sea Zora is what many will recognize as the characters associated with the Zora people and the group in which the Zora Princesses in love with Link exist.

Two Zora have invested interest in Link; Ocarina of Time's Princess Ruto, the Zora swallowed by Lord Jabu Jabu, and Mipha, the champion who fights beside Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
