With only a few months left until the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have been sharing plenty of details about Pokemon's ninth generation titles. Previous trailers have already shown off plenty of new characters, new mechanics, and several new Pokemon joining the game including legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon. This month's Pokemon Presents broadcast gave fans an in-depth look at the Paldea region as well as introducing the Pokemon franchise's newest mechanic, the Terastal phenomenon.
The Terastal phenomenon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet features crystallized Pokemon with the new mechanic powering up a Pokemon's moves of a specific type, or even allowing Pokemon to gain a new type in battle. The trailer also showed off raid dens similar to Sword and Shield's Max Raids where players can encounter rare types of Terastal Pokemon. Now, Pokemon is once again welcoming a familiar face as Undertale creator Toby Fox reveals his involvement with the soundtrack.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Leaker Talks About Major Boss Battles
Toby Fox recently revealed through his personal Twitter account that his music would once again be featured in a main-series Pokemon game. Fox revealed that he was responsible for composing the music for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Terastal Raids. Fox would go on to remark on his interactions with game director Shigeru Ohmori when first discussing the soundtrack. Ohmori had apparently given Toby Fox an image of a Lucario with a gigantic flower on its head as inspiration for music surrounding the new mechanic.
Toby Fox's confirmed involvement would not be the first time the Undertale creator has created music for a main-series Pokemon game, or even with Scarlet
