On August 29, the official Pokemon Twitter account posted an image of a painted forest. Given Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's connection to Spain, it wasn't hard to deduce that this is an in-game location based on the painted Oma forest located in Basque Country between Spain and France. However,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans went wild as the post was also teasing a Pokemon responsible for painting this forest, with several theories about a Paldean Smeargle being thrown out there.
However, it does not appear to be that. The official Pokemon Twitter account added even more information regarding this paint Pokemon on August 30, and it seems to be building up to a proper reveal. Perhaps it'll end with a stream like Galarian Ponyta, perhaps it'll lead into anotherPokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer, or perhaps it'll just lead to another Twitter post, but the recent post reveals more than yesterday's and suggests more is coming.

ThePokemon Scarlet and Violet post, as seen below, says that the photographer taking images of the region discovered that the Pokemon responsible is called Grafaiai. In the latest post, fans can see silhouettes of the new Pokemon, with the clearest being it running across the forest floor. It has a long tail that ends with a big tip, the other images suggest it has a Pikachu-shaped face, and it seems to have shorter hands and feet, at least in one of the images. The post adds that the photographer «left us with the promise to have an exciting revelation soon!» No doubt, this seems to be referring to a full reveal of Grafaiai, and at this cadence, it seems like something could come tomorrow, August 31 (although this is pure speculation based
