Peacemaker creator James Gunn teases that he is working on multiple projects for DC. James Gunn wowed DCEU fans with his superhero team-up The Suicide Squad. Serving as a sequel and reboot to its critically panned 2016 predecessor Suicide Squad, Gunn's film brought new life into the DCEU franchise. Although the film did not do as well as hoped at the box office, most likely a result of pandemic restrictions on theaters, The Suicide Squad performed well on HBO Max, becoming the most viewed DCEU film on the streaming service, and was generally praised by critics.
Spinning out ofThe Suicide Squad came Peacemaker, a series for HBO Max that centered on John Cena's character from the film. The show was an even bigger hit for HBO Max and Peacemaker season 2 has already been greenlit. In addition to working on that second season, Gunn is also working on another TV show for DC, though whether it's connected to either The Suicide Squad or Peacemaker isn't known. Now, though, Gunn may have revealed he has yet another DC project in the works as well.

In a recent interview with podcaster Neil Vagg, director James Gunn revealed that he's working on multiple DC projects. After explaining where the Peacemaker season 1 leaves its central character, Gunn quickly confirms that he is currently working on a separate project for DC and then hints at yet another project in his future. «I'm working on another DC thing, and maybe another one. So we've got got a couple of different things that we're balancing with the stories.»
