Beyond The Edge: Paulina Praises Castmates Amid ‘Physically Taxing’ Game
Paulina Porizkova, star of BeyondTheEdge, praised her fellow contestants for their courage amid the «physically taxing» game. On Beyond The Edge, nine celebrities, including Paulina, Lauren Alaina, Craig Morgan, Ray Lewis, Mike Singletary, Colton Underwood, Eboni K. Williams, Metta World Peace, and Jodie Sweetin traveled to the jungles of Panama to compete to earn money for their charities. They are participating in challenges called «adventures» which push them to their physical, mental, and emotional limits. Each week, the contestants accumulate money to be crowned the winner and add the $100,000 grand prize to their total earnings. No one is eliminated from the competition each week. Instead, the contestants themselves decide whether to stay or go, based on whether they think they can withstand another day in the jungle. If they are ready to leave, they ring a bell to signal they are going home.
The cast has faced many challenges on Beyond The Edge. From torrential rainstorms that soaked them throughout the night to encounters with wildlife and an ant infestation, the conditions have tested their wills. Colton suffered a snake bite. After the first night, Metta was the first celebrity to ring the bell, after facing his fear of wild animals. In episode 5, Lauren was devastated when she had to leave the competition early due to a torn ligament in her foot, but not before she completed the adventure, despite great pain. Also, a crown came off of Eboni's tooth, causing extreme pain, yet she continued to compete. Ray had to face his fear of the water, as he once almost drowned when he was younger. All of the cast members are feeling the pressure, both physically and mentally.
