Jodie Sweetin, a contestant on Beyond The Edge, revealed the hardest part of the competition for her. Jodie, a 40-year-old actress who played the role of Stephanie Tanner on both Full House and Fuller House, joined Beyond The Edge to raise money for charity Girls Inc. and to prove to herself, her daughters, and women everywhere that women can do anything. On Beyond The Edge, nine celebrities, including Jodie, Paulina Porizkova, Lauren Alaina, Craig Morgan, Ray Lewis, Mike Singletary, Colton Underwood, Eboni K. Williams, and Metta World Peace, compete in the jungles of Panama in challenges in order to earn money for their charities. The celebrities themselves decide when they have reached their breaking points, and ring a bell to signal that they are ready to leave the competition.
Jodie has proven herself to be an inspiring competitor on the show, persevering in even the most challenging situations on Beyond The Edge. In 2017, Jodie suffered a severe injury to her left ankle and still has a metal plate and pins holding it together, something she considers when competing. During adventure 3, after running for a mile and a half in the jungle, Jodie volunteered to swim in a lagoon for 60 to 70 yards to retrieve a flag for her team because she was the most comfortable in water. The opposing team reached the lagoon first, and had a boat, so Jodie was the only one who had to complete this arduous task. Although her team did not win the adventure, Jodie achieved her goal to fulfill her daughters' prediction that she could do it.
