Eboni K. Williams was forced to leave Beyond the Edge after six days in the jungles of Panama, where she battled the elements and pushed herself to her limits, and it's time to explain why her exit was particularly sad. On Beyond the Edge, nine celebrities compete in challenges called «adventures» in order to earn money for charities of their choice. The top two earners will compete in a final adventure, and the winner will add $100,000 to his or her prize money. Every night, the cast meets at a place called The Lanterns to discuss the events of the day with host, Mauro Ranallo. Unlike other reality competition television shows, there are no eliminations each week. Instead, the celebrities decide when they have reached their breaking points, and they ring a bell to signal that they will leave the competition.
Eboni, a 38-year-old lawyer and television host, admitted on the show that she was the «most fish out of water» member of the group of celebrity competitors, which also included Jodie Sweetin, Metta World Peace, Lauren Alaina, Craig Morgan, Ray Lewis, Mike Singletary, Colton Underwood, and Paulina Porizkova. Eboni began practicing law at the age of 23, and credits her «incredible, strong single mother» with pushing her to achieve her academic goals. She is best known as a The Real Housewives of New York City season 13 cast member. That season aired in 2021.
