Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is packed with talent across the upcoming slate of movies and Disney+ shows, so here's every confirmed MCU phase 4 character that audiences can look forward to. After eleven years of build-up to Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios is ushering in a new era for the MCU over the next several years. When it comes to new MCU characters, Phase 4 is packed, as evidenced by the various powerful mutants revealed in Doctor Strange 2. With films like Thor: Love and Thunder and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever slated for release this 2022, Marvel's Phase 4 lineup is sure to become even more impressive.
Back in San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios confirmed ten projects that would make up the two-year Phase 4. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting drastic shifts in the movie industry, plans for the MCU had to constantly change and adapt to the ever-changing circumstances. 2020 became an unexpected but surprisingly beneficial break for Marvel Studios, as it allowed audiences to process the end of the Infinity Saga and build higher expectations for the MCU's new slate of movies and Disney+ shows. Starting in February 2021, the Emmy-winning WandaVision kicked off a fresh new era with massive success, followed by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Black Widow, What If...?, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While WandaVision season 2 has been scrapped, there's certainly no shortage of new content that's giving way to more upcoming Marvel characters.
