Following the success of 2018’s God of War, the next installment in the series, God of War: Ragnarok, is set to end the Norse Saga for Kratos and Atreus. With an already compelling story set up and highly anticipated battles with the likes of Thor and Odin, fans are wondering what figures from Norse Mythology will make an appearance. Tyr and Angrboda, two major characters in the events of Ragnarok, have already been revealed in the God of War: Ragnarok trailer. However, there are many more who play a vital role in the death of the Norse Gods that have yet to make an appearance.
The first game’s ending revealed that Atreus will play the part of Loki during the events of Ragnarok, and with Angrboda, who is Loki’s wife in Norse Mythology, there are numerous characters that the game could add many key figures to the game such as Fenrir, the wolf that kills Odin. Furthermore, with Tyr introduced to the story as well, there is a likely chance that fans will get to see more of the Aesir in God of War: Ragnarok. With so many possibilities, there have been many theories as to how Kratos and Atreus will take on the remaining gods as they will undoubtedly face new challenges and require some help.

One of the most famous figures in Norse Mythology, Fenrir is a huge wolf that is the offspring of Loki and Angrboda. Prior to the events of Ragnarok, Fenrir is imprisoned within the planet, and it is the act of him breaking free that kick-starts Ragnarok and destroys much of Midgard.
