As DC hunts for their lead, co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn has revealed what he’s looking for in the next Superman.
Speaking to Variety at the world premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the director was asked about what he wants in the next Superman. Gunn replied that DC is currently looking at a number of people, but in the end, the character has to embody the “humanity” and “kindness and compassion” that the Man of Steel has.

Gunn went on to note that “all the Supermen have been good” and that their job now is to just add to that legacy.
