Summer is nearly here, and as we prepare for the onslaught of announcements that the June gaming showcases will bring with them, Sony has revealed next month’s lineup of free titles for PlayStation Plus members at any tier.
Just in time for the start of the NBA Finals, Visual Concepts’ NBA 2K23 is the first game that will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers next month. The newest entry in the most popular basketball simulator around, NBA 2K23 sports revamped rosters and the return of the Jordan Challenge for the first time since 2K11, offering fifteen new and returning playable scenarios that put players in the shoes of Michael Jordan during key moments of his legendary career. Plus, the MyNBA mode has been expanded to allow players to kick off their journey as far back as 1983 in order to reshape basketball history to their liking. Our review had plenty to praise, stating “It’s the little things that help to make NBA 2K23 the best sports representation to date.”
The second free monthly title is Jurassic World Evolution 2 from Frontier Developments. A follow-up to the 2018 original, Evolution 2 is a management sim that lets players create their own dinosaur-filled theme parks based on the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World film series. Featuring over 75 prehistoric creatures, larger maps set in multiple biomes located across the United States and a Chaos Theory mode which allows players to revisit key moments from the movies, the title includes plenty of deep experiences for those who want to rewrite film history and keep those dinosaurs contained (or those who wish to unleash the monsters on their park’s unaware visitors).
