It looks like The Super Mario Bros. Movie will no longer debut in March in European countries, as previously suggested.
After the film’s second trailer arrived last November, various regional arms of Universal Pictures listed their own release dates for the movie.
At the time, it was scheduled to be released in late March in countries including Belgium, France, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil.
But in the months since, Universal has been updating local release dates for the film, and none that we checked are still scheduled for March.
The film now looks set to hit cinemas in most European countries in early April, close to the film’s unchanged US release date of April 7.

It was announced today that a Nintendo Direct presentation themed around The Super Mario Bros. Movie will take place on March 9.
Nintendo said the presentation will reveal the final trailer for the movie and stressed that it won’t include any game information.
Nintendo and Illumination premiered the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie in October, giving Mario fans the first chance to hear Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario.
This was followed bya second trailer in November, which debuted the voices of Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Luigi (Charlie Day) for the first time. It also showed a racing scene inspired by Mario Kart.
